Completion of Maternity Reflexology course 30th April 2020
Certificate in Maternity Reflexology

I am delighted to announce that I completed the Susanne Enzer Maternity Reflexology Consortium © course and passed with ‘flying colours’ on 30th April 2020.

I decided to train in maternity reflexology to deepen my knowledge of the pre-conception journey along with supporting ladies during their pregnancies and helping them prepare for labour.

During my training I under-took a 4-day workshop (32 hours) which included hands on practice and theory.  To complete the course, I then worked with several case studies to enhance my learning along with writing essays and other supporting materials (these supporting materials I can share with my clients) to gain the qualification.

Maternity reflexology can help women during the pre-conception time and during the first trimester where many will find that their hormone levels are changing rapidly, that maybe she is feeling anxiety and concerned about becoming pregnant as well as other feelings of delight, exhilarated, weepy, exhausted all at the same time and suffering from morning sickness.

During the second and third trimester, hopefully expectant mums will find that early discomforts have gone but she may have other physical symptoms, back ache, varicose veins, low mood, and tiredness to name but a few. Reflexology works by keeping her body well balanced both emotionally and psychically.  It nurtures both mum and baby at the same time.  Many of my clients tell me that during maternity reflexology their babies go quite and feel calm.

The one thing that maternity reflexology can not do is bring on labour.  Priming techniques can be used but these are to be used with caution.  Baby will come when baby is ready but maternity priming techniques can help the parasympathetic nervous system to allow the body to relax and allow labour when the time is right.

If you would like to book an appointment go to the booking page on this website or give me a call on 07835 340940 and we can discuss your needs before you book.

Discover Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-invasive complementary health therapy that works on the principle that all organs, glands, and parts of the body have a nerve or a blood supply that runs through the feet. By applying gentle pressure using finger and thumb to these specific points on your feet the body can repair and rebalance itself. Read more about reflexology.

Experience Reflexology

Ever wondered what a reflexology treatment is like? It is not ticklish, painful or a simple foot massage. It is a holistic therapy performed by a qualified practitioner who will work with you to de-stress your mind and rebalance your body. Watch a reflexology treatment in action.
