What do Health Care Cash Plans & reflexology have in common?

health care cash plans and reflexology

Do you have a health care cash plan & have reflexology?

If the answer is yes you have a health care cash plan and yes you have reflexology then you may be able to claim some or all the cost of your reflexology sessions, depending on the company you are with, your level of cover and how many treatments you have per year.

Here is a list of some companies I found that include reflexology:

  • *BHSF
  • *BUPA
  • *Health Shield
  • *Medicash
  • *Paycare
  • *Simplyhealth
  • *Sovereign Health Care
  • *UK Healthcare

To qualify as a therapist you have to be insured, hold a relevant qualification and a member of a recognised association.

Good news I fit the criteria necessary for you to claim.

All you need from me is a receipt, which I will email to you as a PDF.

But the good news doesn’t stop there.

You can also claim for:

  • dental check-ups
  • eye tests and glasses/contact lenses
  • health screening and specialist tests
  • physiotherapy
  • other complementary and alternative therapies

Here is an example of a health care cash plan:

For £10 per month you could claim back, per year

Physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, acupuncture£50.00
Chiropody/podiatry & reflexology Treatment from an HCPC registered£50.00
Dental Includes check-ups and treatment, for example fillings, crowns and bridges, hygienist fees, gum shields£50.00
Optical Sports or everyday prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses and contact lenses£50.00
NHS or private prescriptions£20.00

Total you could claim back£220.00

**It is only cost effective if you see the dentist and the optician regularly, have reflexology or see the chiropractor, osteopath or acupuncturist.

*Please note that I have not fully investigated each plan and I do not endorse any one company.  Please do your own due diligence.

Feet First Reflexology Goes Paperless

digital-transformation-reflexology

Paper is Passé – Digital Does Away With It All Together

Thanks to Apple’s Magic Pencil and New Generation iPad, from today I’m moving to digital record-keeping. This is the final step on my journey to going paperless!

Did You Know?

  • For each new client consultation, I complete a client consultation form and a GDPR form
  • For every treatment, I complete a treatment record
  • By law, these forms must be held securely for up to 8 years

That’s a lot of paperwork to create, file and store in a locked filing system!

So I’m delighted that technology has advanced to the point that I can now replace my paper forms with digital alternatives.

Even better, I can complete them during treatments by simply writing directly on my new iPad with Apple’s Magic Pencil.

The benefits are:

  • Respect for the environment
  • Improved data security
  • Easier data retrieval

So, what happens next?

Paperless Records for New Clients

On your first visit I will create a new file for you. Into this file I will save your client consultation form, GDPR consent form and the record of your first treatment. For each subsequent treatment, I will add a new record and save it to your personal file.

All data will be collected on my password protected iPad and backed up on Feet First Reflexology’s encrypted One Drive Account.

Rest assured that digital record keeping is totally secure and fully GDPR compliant.

What’s more, your data belongs to you, and you can request copies of your records at any time.

For more information, please see the Feet First Reflexology Privacy Policy.

Paperless Records for Existing Clients

From Monday 13th September, I will make digital records of new treatments.

I will not transfer previous paper records to a digital format but will keep them in accordance with GDPR as set out in the Feet First Reflexology Privacy Policy.

As you know, your data belongs to you.

Naturally, you can request copies of your paper and digital records at any time.

Summary

I work hard to make your visit to Feet First Reflexology, stress-free.

Now that all aspects of your experience from booking to session records to payment are digital, you can focus on one thing only: enjoying your treatment.

Feet First Reflexology: your sanctuary to relax, rebalance and restore.

Covid-19 Safety Update

feet-first-reflexology-bluntisham-Covid19-update-19-july-2021

As you are aware, on 19th July 2021 we enter Step 4 of the Government’s plan for easing coronavirus restrictions in England. You may be wondering how this will affect your treatments at Feet First Reflexology. Hence, this Covid-19 safety update.

Although mandatory mask wearing and social distancing officially end on 19th July, the Government “expects and recommends” that face coverings still be worn in close contact facilities. Feet First Reflexology is such a facility.

The Assosication of Reflexologists also advise that both clients and therapists continue to wear a face covering, unless they are exempt, during the entire appointment.

Therefore, as a responsible therapist, I will continue to adhere to Covid-19 secure guidelines for your safety and that of all clients that visit Feet First Reflexology.

As a brief reminder, these are measures that I take to minimise risk whilst ensuring that you benefit from your treatment:

1. 24 hours before your treatment you receive an email and text reminder of your appointment time with questions that you must respond to before visiting the following day.

2. You arrive wearing a face covering, unless exempt, and keep this face covering on for the duration of your appointment unless this causes you distress.

3. You place your belongings in the sanitised box provided and sanitise your hands.

4. Before treatment commences, I ask you to confirm you have no covid symptoms, have not tested positive or been in contact with someone who has tested positive within the last 48 hours or been told to self-isolate.

5. I use fresh sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets for each client and remove them at the end of the session and wash them immediately at 60 degrees.

6. I sanitise surfaces, door handles, and the plastic box for your belongings.

7. I provide you with a sealed bottle of chilled water for you to drink when you leave.

8. The reflexology room is ventilated 24 hours a day with a maximum of three clients in any working day.

9. If you need to use the toilet, this is in a separate area and is sanitised after each use for your protection.

10. In the days following your treatment, if you begin to feel unwell and suspect that you may have coronavirus, please stay at home, self-isolate, get a Covid-19 test, and inform me so that I can take the appropriate steps to protect other clients.

Please see full details on Covid-19 guidelines or contact me at anytime should you have any further questions or concerns.

You can also refer to the Government’s guidance for close contact services.
